Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are looking for a Motion Design Artist (also referred to as Motion Graphics Artist) with a strong visual style and relevant experience, to create video projects for Media Productions on a fixed term basis.Working closely with another colleague you will both take ownership producing high end graphics and colour grading our videos. This role would suit a freelancer who is looking for something more stable for the remainder of the year, or someone looking to get further hands-on exposure to the entire production process. As a small team, everyone chips in when and where needed- we are a dynamic, flexible and relaxed bunch!You will be provided by the university with the latest production/ video technology needed to perform in the role.Responsibilities include:Lead in the creation of innovative graphic design, motion graphics, infographics, compositing and animationsLiaise with client to produce project outline, script and budget that meets client’s needsAssist with setup, filming, and break down during film and video shootsDevelop conceptual and project briefs for use on Media Production projectsFor more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description.Please note this is a fulltime (37.5 hours/week), fixed-term (6 month) opportunity, with a salary range of $70,000-$80,000 (pro-rated) per annum depending on skills and experience.Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important SkillsRelevant Industry Qualification or Tertiary degree in Film and Media Studies, Fine Arts or similarMinimum 2 years’ experience of using Adobe software packages2-4 years’ experience in media production and editing experience in a commercial environment, across a range of formats and formsStrong demonstrable visual flair and affinity with storytelling, please supply examples of workMō tō mātou rōpū | About the teamMedia Productions is a bunch of passionate video makers and photographers who produce digital content for the University and beyond.
