Network Engineer II

Responsible for Node split completions, hardware deployments, capacity utilization analyzation.o Manages node layout on CMTSo Coordinates CMTS and VOD (CCAP) maintenance with Headend resources o Manages activation of CMTS bandwidth plans o Coordinate rollout of new services and hardware on CMTS and vCMTS platform.o Works Comcast Headend and field personnel in resolving customer related HSD issues o Updates and maintains the augment plans for elements over threshold

• Description:The Capacity Engineering team is responsible for Access (CMTS, vCMTS, PON/OLT) network capacity planning/budgeting, trials, design, augmentation and POR deployment. This team is also responsible for Access Network Element engineering, configuration and escalation support, as well as NCP/Topology updates. This role proactively looks for capacity solutions outside the auto-creation process. Supports network deployments and gains an introduction into a geographical assignment for MWF requests and Topology activities. This roles interacts with members of their own team while interacting with various other cross-functional teams.
