Job Description

The Online Editor will be responsible for conforming raw camera files to offline edits, managing VFX plates io, sending conforms to the colorist or ingesting colored plates for the online edit.

Responsibilities

:

  • Responsible for ensuring a smooth hand off from offline editorial through the finishing processes including VFX shots, color,
  • Ingesting EDLs, XMLs and reference picture with burn-ins for conforms
  • Using provided prep from assistant editors to conform original camera media files to locked edits with resizes, timewarps and stabilizes from editorial
  • Conforming multiple edits with shared media sources
  • Preparing and formatting VFX plates for vendors or internal teams of VFX artists
  • Preparing conformed edits for color grading
  • Ingesting colored shots into conformed edits
  • Importing and conforming super graphics from offline
  • Posting WIP versions with VFX shots, motion graphics and color integration
  • Archiving project and media when project is complete

Qualifications

  • Preferred 3+ years as an online artist.
  • Preferable conforming experience in Baselight or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Autodesk Flame conforming experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of camera file formats, codecs, processing, debayering, exposure, aspect ratios and frame rates, etc.
  • High level technical video skills.
  • High level attention to detail for QCing and checking deliverables and masters.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Experience with color managed, scene referred pipelines.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to take direction well from editorial and post production department.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  • Able to work under pressure and under deadlines, with strong follow through abilities.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible and helpful, able to multi-task, self-starter.
  • Solid communication skills and ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
