Position Purpose: Reporting directly to the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Supervisor, this position is responsible for planning and scheduling T&D operations and coordinating the scheduling of field customer service activities. This role ensures seamless integration and efficient execution of field work processes generated from various work streams.Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and maintain comprehensive plans and schedules for field operations, including maintenance, repair, and construction activities.Coordinate with various departments, such as engineering, operations, and customer service, to ensure efficient scheduling and resource allocation.Prioritize and assign work orders based on urgency, resource availability, and operational requirements.Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, materials, and vehicles, to ensure efficient field operations.Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of necessary materials and supplies.Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Act as a liaison between field crews, supervisors, and other departments, facilitating effective communication and coordination.Coordinate with external agencies, contractors, and utility providers to ensure seamless operations and minimize disruptions.Communicate project updates, schedules, and any changes or delays to relevant stakeholders.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to water utility operations, including environmental regulations and safety standards.Obtain necessary permits and approvals for field operations, such as excavation permits, road closures, and utility locates.Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes.Maintain and update databases and information systems related to field operations, including work order management, asset management, and geographic information systems (GIS).Coordinate with emergency response teams, utility crews, and external agencies during emergency situations.Ensure effective communication and resource allocation during emergency operations.Coordinate with local Police departments to schedule any necessary traffic safety detailInitiate and obtain all necessary locate requests for underground utilities as mandated by New Jersey's Underground Facility Protection Act (NJUFPA) and the New Jersey One Call system.Monitor escrow account balances, process invoices, and ensure timely payments to external agencies for services rendered.Work Environment:This position is required to report to the Toms River office on a full time capacity.
