Summary: Manufacturing Innovation Strategy is a pillar within Meta’s DEC Engineering Team supporting the engineering, design, and data center delivery through the application of manufacturing strategies and component development. We exist to support the predictable delivery of capacity at scale.The Manufacturing Innovation Strategy team’s primary focus is implementing the concepts of Manufacturing Informed Designed (MID) into the data center engineering and design standards.The Manufacturing Component Realization role will be responsible for driving the realization of the manufacturing strategy through partnership with design, delivery, sourcing and other cross functional teams. This will consist of leading market research and engaging vendors, virtual development and prototyping of concepts and components, and managing the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) manufacturing efforts.Required Skills: Program Manager, Manufacturing Component Realization Responsibilities:Build strong relationships with sourcing, data center equipment strategy (DES), and manufacturing delivery teams to enable the transition of manufacturing component from engineering to execution

Establish and operationalize feedback loop with the Delivery and Program Development teams to better inform our component development. Communicate lessons learned, possible improvements, possible opportunities, etc. and bring them back to the engineering team

Responsible for implementation of Meta Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards throughout manufacturing component development

Responsible for leading Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) efforts for the manufacturing innovation strategy team in partnership with engineering, design, and construction partners. Including engaging with industry partners to develop technology solutions that increase efficiency of Manufacturing Informed Design (MID) concepts

Responsible for integration and management of the use of VR to support manufacturing component development and cross functional component reviews

Define requirements and develop manufacturing model and drawings in collaboration with manufacturing component program managers

Collaborate with Meta sustainability teams to drive benefit and impact to sustainability through offsite manufacturing and MID strategies

Develop First-of-Kind Component Standards in collaboration with Engineering, Design, and Quality teams (ex. logistics planning, advanced work packages, and QA & CX strategies/procedures)

Develop and maintain component definition documents (CDD) used to create programmatic standards driving procurement

Lead virtual prototyping efforts of manufacturing concepts and first of kind components. This includes reporting on status, lessons learned, and adjustments needed to refine the designs of the components

Responsible for identification and assessment of new partners to qualify, grow, evolve, and measure, for potential use in the manufacturing strategy

Research and report on industry trends as needed to support the team efforts

Develop and implement strategies for manufacturing data collection and reporting with Strategic Business Services (SBS) partners as appropriate including any success metrics and or dash boarding

Communicate manufacturing strategy with cross functional teams on related efforts to ensure alignment and transparency across Design, Engineering, & Construction (DEC)

Responsible for assembling lessons learned, discovering vendors, finding new technology, and sharing other topics to the group for exploration

Utilize LEAN, AGILE, SCRUM, and other management skills to continuously improve and evolve the efficiency of the team, partner groups, and vendors

Travel approximately 25% Domestic Travel to construction and fabrication sites required. Including international travel as required

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or construction management

10+ years’ experience in construction, manufacturing, and/or enterprise level project planning

Experience in either large scale construction management, data center design and engineering, and scalable manufacturing

Manufacturing background with understanding of lean manufacturing and supply-chain management plus knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards in the field or industry experience with developing workflows and their associated flowcharts, schedules, and action plans

Proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:Software experience with eBuilder, Procore, SolidWorks, Autodesk modeling software, Primavera P6, and/or BIM 360

Experience with off-site fabrication, pre-assembly and/or modularization of complex elements for construction [or off-shore] projects

Mission Critical, infrastructure, and/or data center construction experience

Experience working with blended architecture, engineering, manufacturing/assembly and construction teams

Experience in lean manufacturing and supply-chain management

Basic knowledge of MS Visio and MS SharePoint

Experience with LEAN tools (such as Choosing by Advantage, Last Planner/Pull Planning, Gemba, Kanban)

Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Just In Time (JIT) strategizing, and manufacturing data analytics

Experience with IPD projects

PMP Certification

Scrum Master Certification
