Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support the smooth running of the Climate Change Mobility Research Project, focusing on the achievement of project milestones and deadlines, and ensuring the success of the project through providing executive administration and operational support to the Project Manager and project team.In this role, you will be responsible for:Supporting the project team to meet client and institutional guidelines, obligations, reporting requirements and deadlinesSupporting the Project Manager to monitor the health of the project, including playing an active role in the project issue/risk management process, contributing to the identification and prioritisation of existing and potential issues and risks, and updating the project risk matrix.Manage and maintain project systems, databases and documents, ensuring information is up-to-date and contribute to process improvements where appropriateMonitor and manage project budgets, ordering and resourcesAssist with the preparation, proofing and formatting of project reports, budgets, presentations, papers etc.Manage meeting arrangements, agendas, documentation and minutes and act as the secretary for the bi-annual Project Steering Group MeetingAssist with coordinating and uploading content for any social media or Project platformsThe Climate Change Mobility Research Project is a Pacific-led research project exploring patterns of Pacific climate mobility as well as the social, cultural and economic impacts of climate mobility on New Zealand and Pacific Island countries (the Research Programme). MFAT has contracted the Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland (UoA), University of Waikato (UoW) and Mana Pacific Consultants, to produce this important and significant research project spanning over nine different Pacific Countries. The research produced under the Research Programme will be used to support Pacific Island countries, and New Zealand, to develop evidence-based migration and climate change policies.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term opportunity.

The remuneration is $56,600 - $70,600 dependent on skills and experience.
