AECOM is currently seeking a Project Manager to work on a broad range of projects for various New York City agencies. This role is not remote and requires on site presence throughout the five boroughs of New York City.The role as Project Manager will assist in overseeing the delivery of various building construction, reconstruction and renovation projects as well as various sitework projects. The Project Manager will work with clients, design consultants, contractors and various stakeholders, managing projects through their lifecycles including pre-construction, procurement, construction and closeout of contracts to ensure that projects are of high quality and delivered in the most expeditious, efficient manner possible.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Providing oversight and direction to enable projects to be completed on time and on budgetServing as a liaison for those managing design and construction and various City departments to ensure smooth project deliveryCoordinate construction activities, commissioning, testing and inspection, regulatory agencies and utilities as requiredInspect installations for compliance with specifications and quality standards, maintaining project quality assuranceMonitor construction contractor project safety complianceUtilizing various platforms and software to ensure efficient City review and approval pathways; reviewing plans and documents and providing feedback to various entities, and researching best practices to progress project deliveryContact with consultants, engineers, planners, architects, landscape architects, contractors, and representatives of civic, community and governmental organizations will be an aspect of the workDevelop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risksLead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment and ensuring clear communication among team membersManage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and implementing cost-control measuresPrepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholdersImplement and oversee change management processes to address scope changes and minimize project disruptions.
