Job Description

Our East Syracuse, NY laboratory is looking for a Rental PreparationTechnicianto join their team!The Rental Preparation Technician is a valuable member of the Rental Preparation Team. The Rental Preparation Technician is an energetic individual that will work on calibrating equipment, repairing equipment, shipping and receiving equipment, preps for clients, as well as other projects as assigned.

Job Functions

  • Calibrates pumps and equipment for daily preps.
  • Repairs equipment.
  • Performs quality control checks, including daily outgoing prep requests.
  • Checks-in returned equipment.
  • Satisfies all daily prep requests in a timely manner, including QC of requests.
  • Documents details of thorough conversation with client(s).
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and expectations.
  • Answers technical questions posed by clients and employees.
  • Provides total client responsiveness, including email, voicemail, and verbal requests.
  • Reviews, schedules and prioritizes workload, performs preventative maintenance and monitors instrument capability, ensures that all QC procedures are followed and that they meet necessary criteria.
  • Provides feedback for continued process improvement.
  • Attends data integrity training.
  • Follows all guidelines for acceptable quality control, investigates quality control failures and rectifies problems and brings any discrepancies to their supervisor’s attention.
  • Operates within the guiding principles of the company.
  • Understands and always adheres to all aspects of the safety program.
  • Keeps workstation clean and organized.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED (required)
  • Associates degree or higher level education (preferred)
  • 0-2 years general business experience (required)
  • High level of attention to detail (required)
  • Strong active listening and customer service skills (required)
  • Strong, conscientious team player (required)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills (required)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (required)
  • Intermediate computer skills (required)
  • Ability to lift/carry/push and/or pull upwards of 30 lbs on a constant basis (required)
