The PositionAs a Senior Analyst in the Data Products organization, you will play a pivotal role in the creation of data products that deliver powerful analytics capabilities across our media platforms. This role involves detailed analysis of business goals and objectives, and mapping those to complex data entities, allowing the group to develop data products that enable real-time and actionable insights, empowering internal teams with data-driven decision-making tools. While building data specifications, you may utilize established development tools and technologies, including but not limited to SQL, AWS, Databricks, Python, Looker, Tableau and Java. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of analytics-driven data products and media consumption behaviors.This role is ideal for an individual contributor who thrives in a fast-paced, media-rich environment and is passionate about driving innovation through data.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Develop data specifications that enable powerful insights into product and content performance, audience behaviors, engagement metrics, and viewing trends.Analysis and understanding of information flows and data transformation.Data-mining and troubleshooting to derive actionable insights for process and product improvements.Capturing thorough data requirements for projects assigned, validation of complete end to end testing.Collaborate with Data Products leadership to ensure data specifications align with business requirements.Develop logic and algorithms than can later be adapted into real-time dashboards, reporting tools, and predictive analytics models to empower teams to optimize content programming and user experience.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., tech, product, marketing) to integrate analytics products into their workflows, ensuring that insights are actionable and drive key decisions.Ensure seamless integration of data specifications with internal platforms, enabling easy access to analytics and metrics for non-technical stakeholders. Ensure that data specifications provide the necessary functionality for complex analytics use cases, such as audience segmentation, viewer behavior analysis, content recommendations, and financial modeling.Work with legal, privacy, and compliance teams to ensure that data specifications comply with relevant data regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, while maintaining high standards for data accuracy and quality.Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical teams, ensuring that data specifications deliver value and solve real-world business challenges. Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data product team.
