AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Remediation team in the Buffalo, New York office. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering professional consulting services to our key clients.The successful candidate will provide technical skills on projects within the department and will develop strong relationships with the team and clients to enable pursuit of new opportunities. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and work both independently and as part of a project team.The successful candidate will be committed to the team's success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical, cost and schedule elements of project delivery; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:Work collaboratively with the Remediation team Project Managers and professionals within other AECOM business lines.Function as the Engineer of Record sealing and signing reports, drawing sets, technical specifications, and related regulator application forms.Function as Senior Project Engineer working on projects with various levels of complexity, responsible for technical delivery, design, client liaison, reporting requirements, and coordination with project team members. Prepare remediation designs for various applications including excavation, in-situ injections for bioremediation and chemical oxidation, soil vapor extraction systems, air sparge systems, sub-slab depressurization systems and other technologies.Prepare written reports, work plans, and technical memorandums; analyze data and develop supported conclusions.Prepare general civil and process design calculations and related detailed documents (reports, technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates).Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies and add value to client service offerings.Mentor junior and mid-level staff. Certify staff experience for Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam.
