Remote working options may be available for qualified candidates; however, the candidate will be expected to travel to the Syracuse, New York office on a routine basis. This position encompasses both office work (project/task management support, data analysis, and report preparation) as well as some field work. As you work on challenging projects, you will be given increasing responsibility – while also being able to rely on experienced managers and colleagues to offer support and a helping hand as you learn and develop in your role.Your key tasks and responsibilities for this role will be:Leading the coordination and execution of field programs including site characterization / remedial investigation, remediation, and post-remediation monitoring programs. Leading the development of technical documents such as work plans, remedial investigation reports, remedial action reports, feasibility studies, and post-remediation monitoring reports.Supporting project management and business development tasks such as scope and budget development, proposal writing, budget/milestone tracking, client presentation, etc. with the expectation that the candidate will grow to independently manage tasks and projects with minimal oversight.Subcontracting, procurement execution, and management.Training and mentoring junior staff.  The ideal candidate will have applicable experience and a willingness to contribute to local and regional technical training programs.   Your starting point for constant growthFrom the moment you join Ramboll we will support your personal and professional development to grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field and have approximately 8 to 12 years of relevant experience. Working knowledge of New York State, NYSDEC environmental regulations, and technical guidance are required. Understanding of waste management processes and regulations. Familiarity with other local State (e.g., PADEP, NJDEP) and federal (USEPA) regulations is a plus.   Experienced working in geologic / hydrogeologic conditions common to New York and nearby areas (e.g., coastal plain environments, glacial-interglacial facies, fractured bedrock, etc.).40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and up to date 8-hour refresher required.NYPG license (or eligibility / interest to obtain) preferred.Valid driver’s license.Project management experience a plus along with strong technical and client relationship building capabilities.Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:Ability to prioritize and execute work on multiple projects with competing deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.Good interpersonal skills, customer focus, and strong ability to work effectively in teams.Welcome to our Environment & Health divisionRamboll develops innovative, scientifically sound solutions that help increase livability by reducing pollution and restoring natural environments. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $73,000 and $75,000.  Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
