Brown Forestry Products is a leading manufacturer of the high quality mulching heads used in the forestry market. We are searching for an experienced Shop Foreman to play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facility. Responsible for managing the shop floor, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, the Shop Foreman will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. We are seeking a dynamic self-starter whose strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities will contribute to the success of the shop and the satisfaction of our customers.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and manage a team of technicians and mechanics, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

- Allocating work assignments and ensuring that work is performed in accordance with established procedures.

- Monitor and review the progress of work orders, ensuring that deadlines are met.

- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues or problems, providing technical expertise.

- Maintain records, including work orders, repair logs, and customer information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and clean working environment.

- Communicate with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing and Parts departments to facilitate smooth workflow.

Required Skills:

- Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in forestry, automotive, machinery or relevant mechanical systems.

- Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues or problems.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and

customers

- Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed judgments and handle unexpected situations or

challenges.

Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma; technical or vocational training in outdoor power, automotive or mechanical fields is preferred.

- Proven experience as a technician or mechanic, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and repair

procedures.

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, compliance standards.

- Strong knowledge of shop equipment and tools, including diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
