Description We are in search of a skilled Software Developer who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our legacy applications in the utilities and infrastructure industry. This role is based in Hampton, New Hampshire and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The primary focus will be on applications developed using classic ASP and VBScript, making this a critical role within our team.Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance existing applications, primarily developed using classic ASP and VBScript Troubleshoot issues reported by users and provide timely solutions Collaborate with the internal team to understand requirements for modifications or new features Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code, adhering to established coding standards Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure application stability and reliability Optimize application performance and responsiveness Stay updated with industry best practices and technologies relevant to legacy ASP applications Understand and modify existing codebases efficiently Enhance front-end elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Software Developer role within the Utilities/Infrastructure industry Proficient in Classic ASP and VBScript Demonstrated experience with ASP - Active Server Page Strong knowledge of .NET and Microsoft SQL Server Ability to write complex SQL queries Expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience Commitment to continuous professional development and learning Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
