Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Credit Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the logistics or transportation industry and will be responsible for managing the credit and collections process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation.
Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and optimize cash flow.
Evaluate and approve credit applications and establish credit limits for new and existing customers.
Monitor customer accounts for compliance with credit terms and follow up on overdue payments.
Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct credit reviews and assess the financial stability of customers.
Maintain accurate records of all credit and collection activities and transactions.
Implement and utilize credit management software and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide leadership and guidance to the accounts receivable team, ensuring high levels of performance and professionalism.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in accounts receivable and credit management, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
Strong understanding of credit and collections principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in financial analysis and credit assessment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with credit management software.
