Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in the Financial Services industry based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, 08003, United States. The selected candidate will be tasked with auditing files and processing reconciliations.Responsibilities: Carry out auditing tasks, ensuring all files are in order Process reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner Utilize spreadsheet software to manage and analyze financial data Collaborate with the team to resolve any discrepancies in the files or accounts Maintain up-to-date records of all transactions and reconciliations Monitor accounts to identify any irregularities Take necessary action in case of any discrepancies in the accounts Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards Provide support to the financial team as needed Assist in other accounting tasks as assigned.Requirements Candidates should hold at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the financial services industry is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for efficient data management and analysis. Prior experience with bank reconciliations is crucial to handle financial discrepancies. The candidate should exhibit strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy in tasks. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to interact with clients and team members. The candidate should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is crucial for this role. Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation is desirable.
