Accounts Payable Clerk

Description Robert Half is accepting applications for a skilled Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that thrives in a fast-paced environment where there is room to learn and grow. The Accounts Payable Clerk will resolve A/P issues, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Payable position, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.What you get to do every single day

Produce full-cycle A/P

Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

Help with internal and external audits as required

Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

Requirements

Strong attention to detail

Foundational knowledge in Process Vendor Invoices

Well-founded grasp of bank reconciliations

Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

Strong in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of Code Invoices

Proficiency in Prepare Invoices

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred, but not required

Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills

BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Competent with spreadsheets and databases
