Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the Wholesale Distribution industry based in Rutherford, New Jersey. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing and executing accounts payable tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and resolving relevant inquiries. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable transactions Maintaining and updating customer credit records Handling account reconciliations to ascertain accurate financial records Executing check runs for due payments and ensuring timely disbursements Coding invoices accurately for appropriate categorization and record-keeping Performing data entry tasks to update and maintain financial databases Processing invoices and ensuring they match purchase orders and receipts Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting Operating Oracle and QuickBooks for financial management and accounting tasks Leveraging SAP for business process management and data handling. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations Extensive knowledge of accounts payable (AP) processes and procedures Experience with check runs to facilitate timely payments to vendors and suppliers Familiarity with coding invoices to correctly categorize expenses for financial reporting Excellent data entry skills for accurate input of financial information into the company's database Ability to process invoices efficiently, verifying details and resolving discrepancies as needed Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting Experience using Oracle for managing and processing financial transactions Knowledge of QuickBooks for managing company's finances and accounting tasks Familiarity with SAP for efficient and effective financial management and reporting.
