Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Pharmaceutical industry, based in South Plainfield, New Jersey, United States. The role involves processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records and resolving customer inquiries. Within this position, you will also monitor customer accounts and perform necessary actions.Responsibilities: Processing customer credit applications with precision and efficiency Utilizing skills in Accounting Software Systems such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel to manage accounts Maintaining meticulous customer credit records and updating them as needed Addressing and resolving customer inquiries promptly and professionally Monitoring the status of customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary Performing various accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Check Processing Conducting data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy Identifying and resolving discrepancies in customer accounts Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and data management. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is expected. Experience with IBM AS/400 is a plus. Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. Understanding of Accounting Functions is crucial. Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required. Familiarity with Check Processing is a plus. Data Entry skills are necessary. Ability to handle Discrepancy is required.
