Responsibilities :-

  • Adhering to SLAs
  • ITIL Processes awareness and adhering to the same ones
  • Mentoring / Training Team Members
  • Handling tickets / requests
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
  • Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration
  • Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
  • Understanding of Multi-geo support environment
  • Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
  • Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario
  • Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
  • Suggests new technologies and design changes
  • Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
  • Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support
  • Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level
  • Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
  • Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
  • Assist / Plan / Procedure in Data centre consolidation efforts
  • Perform H/W & performance tuning and maintenance
  • Day-to-Day reporting tasks
  • Vendor co-ordination & followup
Technical Requirements
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining IBM AIX on P series servers
  • Installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of HA environment using HACMP or Veritas Cluster.
  • Configuration and administration of Logical volume manager / Veritas Voume Manager.
  • Patch and Package administration
  • Printer Administration
  • Writing shell scripts to acomplish day to day system administration task
  • Configuring and supporting Domains, LPARs, DLPARs
  • Administer & configure various FS like JFS, VxFS, Pseudo FS
  • Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
  • Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance
  • Understanding of SAN and NAS storage.
  • Administration of NIS or LDAP environment
  • Configuring Unix Security baseline
  • Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
  • Performance Management & fine tuning
  • Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning
  • Installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of VIO serves.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Good documentation skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio)
  • Should have a great customer handling skills
  • Able to handle unforeseen situations
