API Tester Location: Newark NJ Note: Candidate must have exp on API testing and FIX protocol.Open for Contract/Fulltime The candidate should be having a good 5-10 years of experience in doing testing - functional, sanity, and end to endExperience in testing in the BFSI is a must, particularly in the Investment banking/capital market/wealth managementShould have a good knowledge of various asset classes like equity, options, fixed income, forex, mutual fund, and so on, and if possible, to have a basic understanding of the life cycle of few asset classes.Good to have knowledge of Front Office systems for order entry, order management, and trade management, and the related workflow between FO-MO-BO systemsBasic understanding of various reference data systems that supports a trading platformShould have experience in doing JSON API testing using PostmanShould be able to analyze the requirements, create test strategy for testing, data preparation, and doing functional testingStrong ability to communicate professionally at all levels, attend various scrum ceremonies, and triage meetings Have experience in writing SQL queries to validate the test outcome in the DBExperience in working in agile methodology like scrum, and associated test practicesExperience with collaboration tools like JIRA and ConfluenceNice to have basic understanding of FIX protocol
