A services organization in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced IT professional for a great position with their staff as their new Application Project Manager. In this role, the Application Project Manager will be responsible for inventory and managing Application Development projects portfolio. This position requires the qualified professional to work onsite at least one day a week at their Newark-based office.

Responsibilities: The Application Project Manager will:
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope, and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Act as a change agent to improve overall processes and programs
  • Provide guidance to the project team throughout the project lifecycle to meet applicable business requirements
  • Support the development and deployment of project management standards, guidelines, and processes
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of proven working experience in IT Project Management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or related study
  • Thorough working knowledge of SDLC models/methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, IT System and processes, methodologies and their direct implementation to projects
  • Working knowledge of Application Development technologies (Full stack, .NET, Java)
  • Computer savvy
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficient
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

Desired Skills:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or CSM certification
  • Experience managing Tap-and-Go / Contactless IT Projects
