You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes rail and transit, architectural, structural, electrical, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, and many others. We are a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. In this role, you will be working with design teams in various disciplines to deliver Transportation related facilities (Rail/Transit/Bus/LRT stations and facilities, Maintenance and Operations and Control Centers to name a few).District OverviewKiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Travel up to 35%.Responsibilities Leads and manage technical teams for assigned design disciplines during a pursuit or final design projects Responsible for completion of project design tasks within engineering disciplines, in accordance with project design criteria and project management plans Ensures Kiewit's Standard Operating Procedures are communicated and followed Controls cost of the design and all engineering services Manages quantities and constructability throughout the design process for assigned design discipline Has the flexibility to work and coordinate within multiple design disciplines Monitors and reports progress against design schedule Partners with design discipline lead and construction estimator/superintendent to meet project objectives Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development Design quality management plan champion for the engineering design team Develop project budgets, schedules and staffing plans for KIE final design projectsQualificationsArchitecture Degree with a focus on transportation and/or facilitiesLicensed Professional Architect with ability to obtain in other states as the project may require.10+ years of directly related experience in delivery of design-build and/or P3 projects in both the pre- and post-award phases. At least five of these years in the Project Manager/Design Manager position with project management responsibility on large complex multidisciplinary projects. Prior work experience on transportation project valuing $100MProven experience in infrastructure facilities and experience in delivery of projects in other transportation service sectors (rail & transit) is required5 or more years of managing an engineering and design team of at least 5 or moreStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communications skillsGood attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepanciesStrong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job doneAbility to work independently as well as part of a team & Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environmentMust be willing to travel as neededAdditional Requirements:Absent an approved exemption, due to federal, state, local, provincial and/or client-requirements, this position may require an individual to be fully vaccinated by an FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine or undergo weekly testing upon hire and as a condition of continued employment.
