POSITION SUMMARY:The Associate position will perform a variety of accounting functions, including account reconciliations, financial preparation, presentation of financial data and analysis, and audit support. This position is an entry-level professional track position and will offer training and continuing education to support a career in management and leadership within BAYADA Home Health Care.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.

Develop working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies and procedures.

Perform monthly and quarterly general ledger reconciliations for various accounts across multiple entities.

Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages and analyses for multiple entities.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations for various accounts across multiple entities.

Maintain weekly revenue process, including:

Timely processing of revenue within multiple billing systems;

Reconciliation of revenue to the data warehouse and general ledger;

Booking all revenue entries to the general ledger

Analyzing results and researching variances, as required.

Support annual financial audit processes.

Support Accounting team (and others in the organization, as necessary) in any and all areas of financial analysis, routine and non-routine, including but not limited to:

Data gathering;

Presentation of financial data and analysis, both in writing and in person, as necessary;

Investigating and resolving issues

Interpreting financial results.

Participate in and assist with special projects as needed.

Demonstrate a healthy sense of professional skepticism; analyze, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

Provide support in developing reports related to the weekly and quarterly financial statement closing processes.

Manage a heavy workload and adhere to strict deadlines while providing exceptional customer service to colleagues, and others within the organization.

Communicate frequently with supervisor regarding status of assignments.

Assume ownership of, and be accountable for, assignments.

Present oneself professionally and interact/build relationships with others in the organization including Responsibility Group, management, et al.

Demonstrate professional judgment and sound decision-making, as appropriate, applying all required knowledge and experience to the best intended outcome.

Establish and maintain working relationships with the organization’s principal contacts including where necessary employees, vendors, federal and state agencies, and other constituents. Represent the organization to various other organizations and the public as appropriate and necessary.

Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.

Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence and reliability.

Four (4) year college degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or Big Four experience is a plus.

Minimum one (1) year successful experience in a related field.

Prior health care and home care experience is a plus.

Ability to work independently, motivate and be self-motivated, flexible, versatile, and creative.

Possess strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.

Demonstrate a wide degree of creativity, initiative, and problem solving is expected.

Willingness and drive to exceed expectations; spend the time and effort necessary to complete all tasks to the highest level.

Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) applications and ability to learn various software applications required to perform job functions. Experience with WorkDay and/or Blackline is a plus.

Baseline understanding of compliance with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures of GAAP, as well as other company policies and procedures.

Understanding of not-for-profit accounting and compliance standards is a plus.

Experience with or understanding of revenue cycle accounting is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple client requests simultaneously.

Possess well developed oral and written communications skills, attention to detail and ability to interact effectively with management and prioritize diverse projects for multiple disciplines.

Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.

Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
