Armed with a growth mindset and a desire to want to do more, learn more, impact more, you are in a great position to join us as a product security leader to help BD advance the world of health in ways you may never have imagined in your career.The Associate Director, Product Security - Strategic Realization Office (SRO) will be responsible for providing leadership in evolving BD’s product security program, processes and culture in alignment with customer needs and regulatory considerations. This individual will act as a key collaborator and thought leader with stakeholders in the Product Security Office (PSO), Business Units, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and BD Cyber teams and drive the execution of key initiatives to enhance product security maturity and governance. This role reports to the VP, R&D, Product Security and requires an effective change agent to skillfully oversee training / skill development, drive adoption of new digital tools and best practices, coordinate strategic external engagements and champion communities of practice.Responsibilities:

Oversee the evolution of the BD product security framework & processes, ensuring alignment with BD’s business objectives, market trends, technology advancements and regulatory changes

Drive the development of the product security team through upskilling, training programs, mentorship and the adoption of industry best practices

Collaborate with business units and functional stakeholders to integrate and advance product security concepts into business lifecycle processes

Champion and lead the adoption of technology platforms, automation, and new ways of working to enable leverage across business units

Prepare and present regular reports and updates to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders on the status of product security initiatives

Create and nurture communities of practice within BD to drive engagement and stronger product security culture

Develop thought leadership and leverage internal and external relationships to influence product security standards, policies, and processes (e.g. FDA, AAMI, H-ISAC)

May perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. Ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science, project management or technical discipline; advanced degree preferred

A minimum of 5 years of experience in product security or proven ability to operate cross functionally to execute on BU-wide initiatives.

Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented, efficient environment.

Certification in healthcare information privacy and security or related cyber security certifications preferred

Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing security teams with a focus on program management, process optimization / continuous improvement and product development preferred.
