Automation SME - Server Hardware/Software Engineer

In order to administer servers in a top-notch distributed datacenter environment, automation scripts may use a range of languages and industry standard procedures, such as Redfish API. The position will work closely with the Rutherford, New Jersey-based engineering team, with 50% of the time spent on-site at the customer's location for meetings and script deployment testing.

• Strong industry standard server knowledge and experience
• Not limited to but including rackmount 1U and 2U Intel and AMD platforms
• Demonstrated background in server platform management at scale (500 nodes)
• Configuration management (BIOS, BMC, firmware, operating systems)
• Lifecycle management (provisioning and decommissioning)
• General proficiency with multiple server operating systems including Windows Server, Linux, and VMware
• Experience automating tasks in complex, multi-operating system, multi-tenancy environments
• Bash, Python, PowerShell
• Working knowledge of common automation frameworks
• Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• Experience managing proof of concepts and performance benchmarks
• Performance baselining and reporting
• Knowledge of industry standard benchmarking/perf tools (stress, fio, iometer, SPEC, etc)
• Knowledge of interacting with APIs at a programmatic/script level
• DMTF Redfish API

• Working knowledge of OneView
• RHEL system administration experience
• Windows system administration experience
• Shell scripting experience
• Benchmark testing experience
• Hands on physical server experience
• Handle physical servers rack / cable work
• Any exposure to low latency, high performance and AI/ML computing environments
