Title: Data Engineer Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJDuration: 3-6 Months +Possible extension - This is NOT 100% remote. Candidates must be able to be onsite 1 – 4 day s week. No position with BMW is 100% remote at this time. Please make sure all candidates you submit are able to meet this requirement. Qualification notes:1. Hands on AWS experience (not just theoretical)o Terraform and cloud formation tools would be a plus2. Python and SQL3. Experience with Big Data processes- Project: will work with data scientist/business to take requirements to build a data pipeline (python or SQL code) and building the AWS process A) Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering or the equivalent of 4 years of related professional IT experience.-AND-B) Experience• 3+ years of enterprise software engineering experience with object oriented design, coding and testing patterns, as well as, experience in engineering (commercial or open source) software platforms and large-scale data infrastructure solutions.• 3+ years of software engineering and architecture experience within a cloud environment (Azure, AWS).• 3+ years of enterprise data engineering experience within any "Big Data" environment (preferred).• 3+ years of software development experience using Python.• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Lean or Kanban).
