Big Data/AWS Cloud Developer

Position: Big Data/AWS Cloud Developer Location: New Jersey (Remote to Start) Interview Type: Phone & Skype Visa Type: Any visa Citizen, GC-EAD, -EAD, TN-Visa, H1B and NO OPT Duration: Full Time Contract/Long Term Contract Responsibilities:

• Sr. Cloud Developer (6 to 8 Years' Experience for Data & Cloud)
• Incumbent will be a critical member of the Cloud Big data Team. This position requires a sound knowledge of AWS Cloud stack and Big Data technologies, along with Spark, Scala, Hive etc., Knowledge of ETL tools, especially Talend and database platforms like SQL, Snowflake, MemSQL
• Responsible for development & work closely with client team for Data Applications on AWS Cloud
• Responsible for co-ordination with Application Teams (Upstream/ Downstream) for jobs and others for smooth running of applications in Cloud. Collaborating with Client business team for requirements & working with Offshore team on delivering them
• Responsible for coordinating application releases, change management, and governance as per CI-CD. Working with Business team on Scope prioritization, Sprint planning etc.
• Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of AWS Service offerings (e.g. Aurora, EC2, S3, EMR, Athena, Step Functions, Lambda). Technical expertise regarding data models, database design and development. Sound knowledge of Bigdata Tech stack: Hdfs, Hbase, Hive, Spark, Scala/PySpark. Have a sound knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, gathering requirements for building pipelines and enriching customer data

• Work alongside our infrastructure team to plan, design and administer Snowflake databases in an AWS environment
• Work with Offshore team on Development stories for BI application. Awareness on End to End BI projects is required
• AWS Certification is a preferred one for the Associate
• BS Degree in IT, MIS or business related functional discipline.
• Strong self-leadership and ability to work independently and manage conflict
• Very good in Communication & working with multiple teams and managing client engagements
• Hands-on experience with Cloud AWS, Big Data Hadoop distributions and eco-system components, ETL tools, DWH.
• Experience on Amazon EMR, Impala, Talend, UNIX Shell Scripting, Jira , GIT for code management
