Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

Description Robert Half is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Garfield, New Jersey. This role involves managing financial records and transactions, accounts payable, account reconciliation, and payroll processing. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage accounts payable Handle payroll and pension for employees and retirees Utilize QuickBooks for entering payroll details and calculations Collect and account for fines, damages, and copy machine usage fees Perform bank account reconciliations for four different accounts Prepare financial reports for board meetings Work in collaboration with another team member for assistance Ensure all tasks are completed by the last week of each month Maintain accurate and detailed records of all transactions Use skills in Microsoft Excel, data entry, month-end close procedures, and QuickBooks to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is essential Must possess Bookkeeping skills Proficiency in Data Entry is required Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary Experience with Month End Close activities is desired Must be capable of managing Payroll Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
