GENERAL SUMMARY

The Business Analyst, Financial Application Controls, is part of a team responsible for performing access control tasks as well as providing security and process control expertise to the Company's global financial applications. The Busines Analyst's primary purpose is to perform day to day access control tasks to ensure that all internal and external security, control, legal and regulatory requirements are being met at all times

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • (60%) Standard control administration which includes monitoring inactivity, terminating access, reviewing/processing system access requests, etc.
  • (30%) Security role design and segregation of duties (SoD) issue resolution. This includes working with other team members to design security roles to address new or changing process requirements, researching and resolving identified security and SoD issues and where necessary assisting in the design of compensating controls.
  • (10%) Control design assistance/review of integration and other projects. This includes assisting other team members working with project, IT and business teams to research and develop efficient and effective controls.

COMPLEXITY AND SCOPE
  • Position spans the global rollout and on-going support of Security and Controls within SAP (ECC, BW, SCM, Solution Manger) and other associated projects and applications (Ariba, Hana, Vertex, Smartclose, Blackline, BPC/EPM).
  • Understand the business and how the systems apply to work processes, to maintain appropriate access and yet avoid SoD issues (where appropriate to consult other team members)
  • Work with access requestors to address any questions regarding access controls and assess when temporary access/authority can be granted (in consultation with other team members when appropriate).
  • Work with other team members to analyze and resolve SOD issues and access request issues.
  • Work with other team member to develop effective and efficient controls (balancing control requirements and business efficiencies).
  • Monitor processes for consistency and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) control tasks while also working with internal and external audit personnel.
  • Stay current and continually learn about an ever-changing environment of new system functionality and regulations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelors Degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

3-5 years preferred (application access and/or process controls)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)

Bachelor's degree and 5 years related collections, accounts receivables and customer service experiences preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

CISA and/or CPA certifications preferred

OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED
  • Familiarity with security and controls techniques.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite programs.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and internal controls.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory policies, rules and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective Conceptual Thinking skills.
  • Action oriented with strong prioritization, direction setting, and organizational alignment skills.
  • Meets expectations across all six areas of Campbell Leadership Model (internal candidate ratings and projected for outside candidates).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including effective facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work well individually and within a team environment, build strong relationships and maintain rapport with cross-functional Business and Corporate teams.
  • Ability to influence others without the formal reporting authority, using effective conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage details on multiple concurrent tasks while meeting various deadlines with strong prioritization skills and a sense of urgency.
