As you embark on a new journey, you'll tackle challenges with flexibility and grace, learning new skills and advancing your career while having the time of your life Why You'll Love This Job: Being a member of the Business Architecture group, the Business Architect Director will be responsible for leading a team of Business Architects that will craft and enable the delivery of business strategies in close collaboration with business areas and IT. The Director will apply analytical frameworks and insights to understand client needs and current-state pain points & opportunities, and lead business and process re-imagination efforts in support of DTCC's enterprise-wide transformation program. The individual will have high transparency and access to senior management, will be encouraged to develop and lead key relationships with key executives and subject matter authorities, find opportunities for the application of the business architecture approach, and influence our strategy and blueprint through robust analytical thinking, thought leadership and communication. The Director will also be responsible for developing team members. Your Primary Responsibilities :
- Develop deep understanding of each business division's strategy, business model, operating model, processes, teams, and culture.
- Play a strategic thinker role and be ambitious in proposing future-state enterprise-wide business architecture blueprint and roadmap to improve client happiness, efficiency, and risk & resiliency.
- Lead current-state and future-state re-imagination business & process analyses, and display efficiency in applying analytical approach to seek "ill structured" problems and support recommendations.
- Work with other Business Architects to find opportunities to develop cross-product capabilities.
- Lead teams, workstreams, projects and senior management meetings and presentations
- Work in partnership with Business Units, IT and other partners to craft and build balanced solutions.
- Synthesize analysis into clear recommendations and findings that add value
- Lead team priorities and book of work; Develop talent, identify training and development needs.
- Build effective working relationships with senior management, business teams, and key subject matter experts.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for application of business architecture approach.
- Develop a culture of entrepreneurship, innovation, and Agile methodology.
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred with master's or equivalent experience
- Experience handling people or leading multi-functional teams
- Ideally, prior experience in leading consulting firm(s) with strategy consulting experience
- Experience in banking, capital markets, or financial operations preferred
- Understanding of DTCC's industry landscape and familiarity and experience with buy-side, custodian flows and middle-office products is a plus. Experience in product strategy and product development is also a plus
- Familiar with or able to quickly learn Business Architecture tools and concepts
