Our team supports our global customers from research and development through to manufacturing.What you will do:As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new opportunities and expanding share of wallet with the existing customers for our Custom and Bulk chemical portfolio. This includes but is not limited to sales calls/visits, providing pricing, working on contracts, managing overall communications with customers and conducting business reviews. In the role you will lead internal cross functional team meetings to accomplish goals and commitments made to the strategic customers and communicate status and issues to customer regularly. This role is considered a key member of the commercial team and must have the vision, drive, and interpersonal skills to succeed in a opportunity rich environment. The candidate will be a “hands on” account management professional operating with a sense of ownership. This role reports into the Sr. Director, Commercial – North America.Position Responsibilities:

Develop strategic business growth plans and initiatives of the product portfolio. Expand sales through existing install base and establish new customers, ensuring alignment with key partners.

Serve as a consultant, engaging customers directly to understand and support their long-term growth.

Evaluate customer requests and respond to customers in a timely manner. This includes being the key point of contact for new business and ongoing project discussions, pricing and volume discussions, issue resolving, and support functions.

Partner closely with internal teams on assigned initiatives, including product launch, pricing, positioning, and channel strategy.

Align existing products to gaps in customer’s workflow and develop future business opportunities and leads.

Conduct lead generation, new customer enrollments and meet or exceed revenue objectives for Custom and Bulk chemicals in North America.

Assist in the negotiation process to close new and renewal business.

Assist in the preparation and delivery of business/technical/capability presentations.

Schedule and coordinate quarterly business reviews. Monitor established performance metrics and scorecard reports.

Ability to travel up 30-40% of the time.

How you will get here:Education

Bachelor’s Degree in business or science field is required

Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of business development, sales product specialist or marketing experience within relevant field application technology and/or instruments.

Demonstrated ability, including lead development, negotiation of supply agreements, sales funnel management, and competitive market research.

Strong project management skills are essential. Must be able to lead and/or influence others without direct authority.

Ability to quickly evaluate situations and take direct appropriate actions to resolve issues.

Lead and nurture account relationships to drive expansion across the portfolio. Provide product assistance, consultation, and problem solving to customers, as necessary.

Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and slide presentation.

Experience completing voice of customer and developing strategic plans focused on execution of commercial growth targets.

Familiarity with a CRM tool preferred; Sales Force a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Track record of delivering results through product adoption and market share development.

Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.

Financial skills used in a selling environment to demonstrate return on investment.
