This individual will take part in the preparation of design drawings utilizing CAD software along with preparation of jurisdictional agency submissions. The designer will complete field visits for the purpose of site reconnaissance and SWPPP inspections with the assistance from Project Designer, Engineer, and/or Landscape Architect. You will have the opportunity to gain experience by assisting the project team in the preparation of reports and studies.
Use AutoCAD software to complete basic drawings using input from engineers and landscape architects on their team.
Complete field visits for projects and obtain visual and photographic information, perform SWPPP inspections for active construction projects.
Perform tree inventories and surveys with Certified Arborist (Landscape Architecture Designer)
Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines
Acquires basic knowledge and develop basic skills through mentored experience.
Interact primarily with internal project team members.
Assist in the preparation of design plans with the support of the design team.
Complete design of construction details with support of the design team.
Complete soil erosion sediment control plans.
Complete jurisdictional applications with assistance from Project Designer/Engineer/Landscape Architect.
Research jurisdictional agency requirements and available data for project sites.
Produce good consistent design work.
Employees in this role will be responsible for meeting their time management goals as set forth by their supervisor.
An associates or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience.
Industry experience in the engineering/design field.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
A background of working well as a part of a design team.
Understanding of Microsoft Office, Spreadsheets and Power Points.
Strong computer and mathematical skills.
IT and CAD knowledge.
