Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the Healthcare industry. The role is based in Lakewood, New Jersey, and will involve a range of tasks related to claims and records management. Responsibilities: Acknowledge and process requests for claims via email. Request required documents and provide information for the Shared Secure Portal. Follow up on documents not received within the specified timeframe and send reminders as needed. Check SharePoint for uploads and obtain therapy records from the Electronic Portal for rehabilitation. Organize and collate documents, label them, and complete the checklist. Place completed charts in the reviewer's folder and communicate if additional documents are required. Review records thoroughly, label documents, and submit them via online portals, USPS, or UPS. Update the Master Spreadsheet with details of submission and send a confirmation email post submission. Follow up on the status of the claim with the Facility Representative and contact the Medicare Intermediary or Insurance as needed. Handle appeals process if required, following the process for each level within the timeline. Manage the intake of Records request for approval of Claims from facilities, procure the Medical Records from the facilities, and submit to the REQUESTOR. Track and confirm the Records have been received, follow up and confirm for Approvals, maintain and track the spreadsheet, and be available to create reports. Requirements Previous experience in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry is strongly preferred Proven administrative or assistant experience Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficient in MS Office High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred Experience with Benefits Administration Ability to multitask and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
