Reporting to the leader of the Competitive Intelligence team, this role is responsible for providing strong competitive intelligence and actionable insights to the Small Business Sales and Marketing team as well as partner with the BU and Corporate Strategy teams.Develop advanced understanding of competitive technologies and trends in the small business space.

Inform strategic direction for Sales, Sales Ops / Enablement and marketing decision-making based on the evolving competitive landscape.

Focus on delivering compelling content and creative storytelling in CI communications to motivate action

Conduct deep competitor assessments across strategic roadmap, portfolio capabilities, go to market efforts, sales, service delivery and financials so that the BU can better understand how ADP stacks up and identify opportunities

Develop insights on best-in-class competitors and emerging niche players

Provide informed evaluations of competitors in key strategic dimensions, including technology, product, service, and marketing

Build and maintain competitive intelligence assets for key stakeholders (i.e. Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Product Marketing).

Education/Knowledge/Experience:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills

Prefer minimum of 5 years of competitive intelligence and/or consulting or Corporate Strategy experience.

Bachelor's degree preferred

Well-organized, data driven, and comfortable managing multiple projects.

Ability to identify strategic needs with little direction.

Ability to present to executives in a professional manner.

Excellence in documentation and developing sales and marketing assets and competitive intelligence tools.

Attributes:Strong technical / computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work effectively in dynamic, team-based environment across multiple functions.

Ability to build and leverage internal relationships

Demonstrate credibility as a subject matter expert in insights rooted in knowledge and experience

Attention to detail but possessing practical business leverage mindset rather than a technical/academic research mindset

Comfort with reading and using financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements)

Adaptable and flexible

Self-directed, goal oriented and personally accountable
