What you need to know about this position:

The Data Ingestion Lead should be able to build and lead a diverse team of individuals with a mix of Big data, Infrastructure, developers and backend engineers. The candidate should be able to operate at the intersection of Infrastructure, Big Data, Storage, & Online Services and explore all aspects of a Data ingestion that collects, stores and serves large amount of information.

Education / Certifications:
  • Configure and develop job using Talend and Collibra
  • Program language knowledge like Python, and/or Java
  • Experience working with a variety of source systems (ERP, CRM, custom, on-prem, etc.) and types (databases, files, APIs, SaaS, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in BI and Data Warehousing, with an emphasis on ETL / data ingestion in a cloud DW / data lake environment
  • Knowledge of distributed computing platforms like Kafka, Spark etc. is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of Data Analytics, Big Data, Storage, Compute & network infrastructures

Job specific requirements:
  • Lead multiple data ingestion projects and products to maintain and develop applications for both enterprise releases and smaller maintenance releases
  • Work closely with the business team, 3rd party vendors, and other internal IT teams to deliver projects on time
  • Lead framework-based data ingestion pipelines development to ingest data from a variety of sources into the cloud platform
  • Manage the data ingestion framework to easily extract and load data from various sources into data processing tools, data integration software, and cloud storage
  • Influence and guide strategy, execution and innovation for all aspects of data analytics
  • Experience in taking proactive actions to identify typical problems and issues during the normal course of work and solve them with minimum guidance
  • Define & design large scale distributed system that can be used for interactive as well as batch use cases
  • Develop cross-org partnerships with peer organizations; collaborate and address their data requirements
  • Engage with the open-source community to understand existing work and influence future roadmap
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate large data sets, data storage, ETL and data modelling
  • Proven experience in Data Analysis role with programming skills in SAS and Python
  • Good hands-on Experience with Data warehouse implementation
  • Translate customer and technical requirements into detailed technical plans, architecture, and design
  • Knowledge of CPG customer planning, supply chain planning, delivery and collection processes as well as the data sources utilized across different functions and BUs
  • Evaluate upcoming open-source technologies for distributed computing and integrate such that our platform improves and scales better
  • Interact with infrastructure, business and data teams to produce client requirements for next generation product development
