The Associate Data Steward is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and assisting with continuous improvement of master and product data to support clients businesses, under the guidance of more senior data stewards or managers. This individual works closely with functional groups to ensure that master and product data are analyzed, controlled, entered and released into MDM and PLM business systems in a timely manner, as dictated by business needs. The duties of the Associate Data Steward include proactive collaboration with data owners/requestors to ensure clarity to ensure completeness. This individual works on a limited set of data objects and/or business brands and grows that set over time to more objects and increasingly complexity. The Associate Data Steward participates in the Data Steward Community of Practice to learn and apply client’s data stewardship standards, processes and practices. Creates, analyzes, maintains, monitors and manages either master data in ERP and/or other integrated solutions in compliance with established service levels or product data in PLM, including change requests, change orders and deviations to support new product introductions and product changes Audits data accuracy, enhances data quality, and trains users to ensure continuity of results Follow practices, policies and standards adopted by Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Identifies areas of process and data weakness and escalate to appropriate EDM team leadershipApplies policies and procedures to ensure uniform, accurate, and consistent data are present in support of SOX and/or Quality audit requirements Provides testing support for upgrades, break fix, and enhancements, including integration testing from various sources to target systems Participates in the Data Steward Community of Practice to learn and apply client’s data stewardship standards, processes and practices.
