Purpose of Role

The Enterprise Architect for Data is responsible for all Enterprise Architecture activities for Data & Analytics as well as DMS towers.

This person will be a key leader responsible for setting the architectural vision for Mondelez' Digital, Data and Analytics opportunities. They will serve as an expert and trusted partner to create the vision how to transform data assets, systems, digital platforms and models, and have the ability to realize that vision.

You will work closely with functions and business units to develop roadmaps and to plan agreed-to outcomes. In this role, you ensure that commitments are met, and serve as the point of contact for Mondelz International Business Services.

What you will bring

You work with business and IT stakeholders to define a future-state of requirements, principles and models. You also work to position the organization to deliver its future-state architecture vision by coordinating the analysis of required changes in business functions and processes, information and technology capabilities and solutions.

Informed by the business strategy, market trends, and the competitive landscape, you will manage the defined direction and provide thought leadership to support the business, and oversee the global, enterprise-wide implementation of the technical strategy. In addition, you will serve as an expert and provide a roadmap to support data assets, transactional systems, digital platforms and digital models to support enterprise decision making.

In this role, you will serve as a key consultant to senior leadership and solution architects on IT architecture and long-term systems strategies, make decisions on key technology purchases to align IT investments with business strategies, while reducing risk and delivering adaptive solutions (with a focus on digital), and lead technology product evaluation processes and architecture review board governance for project solutions.

Defines the enterprise information architecture (30%)

•Evolves the enterprise information management framework, strategy, processes and tools to manage structured and unstructured information as an asset.

•Defines common standards and guidelines over all information solutions on functional modelling, data flow process and data integrity.

•Ensures information assets are easily and consistently consumable globally, but at the same time enable the regionalization of assets for specialized requirements.

•Defines and drives the realization of best in class enterprise information assets and analytic capabilities throughout the enterprise.

Guide System Strategy & System Architecture (30%)

•Defines the overall backend, frontend, application, data and platform strategies.

•Makes decisions on key technology purchases to align IT investments with business strategies, while reducing risk and delivering adaptive solutions.

•Defines standard guidelines for all solutions in scope, ensuring a consistent structure and layer concepts to drive high reusability.

•Responsible for observing emerging trends and technology related to information creation and promote the introduction of innovative technologies through proof of concepts and pilots.

•Investigates and is hands on integrating new technologies to improve business processes and decision-making leveraging information

Commercialization, Governance and Project Oversight (30%)

•Manages the creation and maintenance of the repository for architecture artefacts and documents.

•Supports the development of business and information architecture governance structures and compliance activities.

•Optimizes costs, output and development effort by driving standardization, harmonization and reusability.

• Commercializes new technologies and platforms, and supports pilot implementations

Enables a design assurance framework that ensures that projects and support activities are accomplished per Architecture guidelines.

Collaboration (10%)

•Collaborate with Solution Architects

•Acts as mentor and coach on best practices across Digital, Data and Analytics technologies.

•Partners with strategic vendors to align product roadmaps and Mondelez architectural needs.

•Helps key stakeholders shape information demand, and aligns on effective use information assets. Operating effectively in a changing environment and using initiative and personal resourcefulness to proactively manage contingency or "emergency" situations

•Using data to make recommendations and decisions

•Key performance indicators, managerial reporting, forecasting and budgeting

What extra ingredients you will bring:

•Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. Master's degree is preferred.

•Experience with Google Cloud Platform data architecture is an advantage. 10% travel needed.

•A successful candidate will have the experience in prioritizing and introducing new data sources and tools to drive digital-enabled growth.

•An ideal candidate will be deeply curious about new information technologies and their application, as well as possessing great problem solving, communication, mentoring and management skills.

•7 years of experience in global IT role (such as Data & Analytics Enterprise/Solution Architect, cloud native data related architecture, master data management , information management) in a multi-cloud environment.

•5+ Building digital, data and analytics architecture.

• 4+ years' experience in overall software development (requirements, design, build, test, deploy) or similar preferred but not required.
