Learn more about our award-winning organization by visiting stryker.comPosition Summary:The Oracle ERP Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This individual ensures optimal team performance and alignment with business processes. Collaborating with division heads, business partners, and IT staff, the Senior Director oversees the team executing projects including system requirements, solution designs, and system build ERP functions to meet organizational needs. Responsible for the planning, coordination and successful deployments of the global Oracle applications across all Stryker divisions, functions, and regions. Leads a team of Solution Managers, Solution Architects, and Solution Leads delivering Oracle projects and enhancements. Coordinates with PMO Lead, Delivery Leads, Global Process Owners, and System Integrator(s), to drive the Oracle products through end-to-end delivery and completion. Works closely with System Integrator(s) to ensure alignment of key program activities and milestones for deployment and solution delivery. Oversees and ensures completion of all business and program cut-over activities. Drives informed decision making for large cross-functional projects.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: direct the preparation, development, and enhancement of ERP systems

Lead IT teams to identify system requirements, design effective solutions, and execute projects to fulfill business needs

Solve complex problems using computer-based solutions through the management of cross-functional teams

Perform activities following Stryker's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes

Defines a deployment framework which can be leveraged across all Oracle programs and projects

Ensure optimal performance, scalability, security, and reliability of delivered solutions

Creates individual/custom deployment plans for each program across Stryker divisions, functions, and regions with detailed contingency plans; and 'Go/No Go' decision points

Creates, coordinates and influences the deployment communication plans, including 'Go Live' readiness, change management, cutover, and stabilization

Works with divisional deployment leads and IS teams to manage and prepare each division for solution readiness, data cleansing, data migration and training

Manages and coordinates with external suppliers and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted deliverables, agreed upon timelines, and metrics

Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships with Oracle and vendor partners

Work closely with division heads and business partners to understand business processes and tailor the system accordingly

Working with PMO, Delivery Leads, Process Leads, and Change management, develop standards, tools and systems to effectively and efficiently manage the deployment of the Oracle products across Stryker divisions, functions, and regions

Establishes deployment metrics and ensures each division, function, and region are measuring pre and post 'Go Live' success metrics

Works closely with IT Global Service Delivery teams to ensure implementation of post-production support model and processes including transition period referred to as Hypercare

Ensures timely escalation and mitigation of issues and risks to ensure smooth deployment process

Partners with the IT Governance team to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, standards, procedures, and associated documentation including but not limited to computer systems validation, SOX 404, and PM standards

Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy regulations

Conducts 'lessons learned' after each deployment to continuously improve the deployment process over the course of the program

Provide guidance and mentoring to other Delivery Managers, Delivery Leads, Solution Leads and Solution Analysts within the team or same project/program

Manages the HR designated tasks for the people within their team

Financial focus on delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables

Special projects/assignments as required

Education & special trainings:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study preferred

Qualifications & experience:

Minimum 10 years of professional experience required, with at least 8 deploying or delivering Oracle ERP solutions

Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of Oracle and/or other complex business solutions with direct experience in global system rollouts required

Proven experience as a senior resource in ERP design and build activities

Experience architecting technical solutions and estimating work efforts

Strong understanding of Oracle ERP modules and architecture

Ability to maintain strong relationships within Stryker Divisions and Geographies

Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications

Exhibits acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges

Versatility and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Experienced in enterprise solution methodologies, preferably in both traditional waterfall and agile approaches preferred

International experience and/or exposure working in other business functions preferred

Knowledge of Lean, ITIL, PPM, PMO, etc. standards and processes preferred

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management

Must be able to generate, explain, and present detailed schedules, objectives, reports, and other documentation accurately

Demonstrated ability to work cohesively across a cross functional and matrixed organization

Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills

Ability to drive initiatives and projects independently from start to finish

Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills to a diverse set of audiencesPhysical & mental requirements:

Demonstrated strong communication and influencing skills - oral, written, listening, executive presentations

Execution & Delivery Focus. Ability to understand, interpret and translate emerging trends, future visions and strategies into executable programs and projects that align to the current state architecture and business environment. The incumbent will be results oriented, able to design and deliver rapid solutions for the team.

Demonstrate ability to work in and deal with ambiguous situations

Driven and results oriented. He/she will be required to drive results and integrate effectively into the culture. The successful candidate must possess the blend of confidence and humility while driving to achieve results and meeting committed timelines.

Demonstrated ability to guide the business towards optimal solutions

Experience in identifying opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies
