Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us .Our Process and Digital Excellence (P&DE) group is the central point for excellence in Global Supply Chain operations, driving innovation, continuous improvement, and value creation through Digital programs and process initiatives. Our team leads the portfolio of developing top-level capabilities throughout the Global Supply Chain, working towards our digital-first goal. We do this by coordinating Global Process Owners (GPO’s), who aim for optimal design, ongoing enhancement, operational excellence, and the sustainable management of key supply chain processes. We make sure our processes are smooth, dependable, proactive, and fully connected at a global, enterprise level.The Director, Global Process Excellence sets up and improves business systems to drive strategic planning, business health, project portfolio excellence, operational excellence, process architecture, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and adaptability of our global supply chain. You will collaborate closely with senior executives, Global Process Owners, cross-functional enabling partners, and counterparts across BMS.This position is directly under the Senior Director, GSC Strategic Capabilities and will serve as a partner to drive stakeholder value and process and digital excellence both within and outside of the Global Supply Chain organization. This position has 2-4 direct reports.The ideal candidate will have experience in portfolio, program, and project management, and can balance user needs and technical possibilities, deal with uncertainty, has solid supply chain knowledge, leadership and analytical skills and an ability to work within and across all levels of an organization.Are you skilled at bridging the gap between business challenges, systems, and technology? Define, optimize and maintain end to end business processes; Anticipate and address emerging trends and challenges in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring dynamic and flexible processes for long-term sustainability

Lead the Global Process Owner Model across the entire global supply chain organization; develop and deploy an operating model, governance, process framework, toolkit, and training plan for Global Process Owners

Own the Global Supply Chain Digital innovation strategy, roadmap, and portfolio. Manage the Digital Investment budget, business case and value case development and realization, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions.

Manage and optimize the allocation of resources to support digital initiatives and performance improvement projects

Lead performance management initiatives and establishing KPIs and metrics for monitoring and optimizing supply chain processes

Manage strategic relationships including supplier partnerships, academic collaborations, and alliances, to stay at the forefront of industry developments and emerging technologies.

Build sustainable supply chain capabilities in alignment with operational excellence, continuous improvement & change management excellence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Build and lead a high-performing team of supply chain professionals, providing training, coaching, and mentoring

Facilitate ideation sessions, innovation programming, strategy and problem solving workshops, using Operational Excellence and project management methodologies (Kaizen, DMAIC, Hoshin Kanri, etc.)

Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams and stakeholders; maintain relationships across the matrix to identify opportunities for synergy, continuous improvement and value creation.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, information systems, engineering, or related field; master’s degree preferred.

12+ years of experience in global supply chain management, strategic project management, planning, and distribution; Life sciences or pharmaceutical experience preferred.

5+ years project management experience, developing and executing successful strategic initiatives and leading cross-functional teams; project management certification.

Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt or equivalent experience required; proven track record of implementing process excellence methodologies.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels of the organization and collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external partners.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing team culture.

Enthusiasm and energy to help transform organizations, with tenacity/perseverance for leading change; change management certification preferred.

Strong digital, analytics, and innovation skillset, with the ability to drive a digital-first mindset and implement emerging technologies.

Demonstrated experience in change management, stakeholder management, and training programs.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance principles within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Ability to think strategically and creatively and with an agile mindset, in a fast-paced environment.
