Piper Companies is currently seeking an

ECQ

Engineer based in

Summit, New Jersey to support laboratory, clinical and manufacturing operations at a leading pharmaceutical company. The

ECQ Engineer will have the opportunity to collaborate both on a project team as well as a larger department on projects such as writing deviations, investigations and supporting the implementation of change controls.

Responsibilities of the ECQ Engineer:
  • Executes equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, performance verification and repair activities in both laboratory and manufacturing areas
  • Utilizes scheduling software and systems, and inventory management systems, mainly Blue Mountain RAM
  • Ensures all calibration, PM, and performance verification records are filed appropriately after approval

Qualifications of the ECQ Engineer:
  • 2+ years of experience in FDA-regulated industry
  • Experience working directly with bench top manufacturing and laboratory equipment (cell counters, liquid handlers, flow cytometry, etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge of cGMP relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, as well as SDLC regulations (including 21CFR, part 11), computer systems validation requirements and good documentation practices
  • Aptitude for calibration management and environmental monitoring systems
  • BS in engineering or related scientific field

Compensation for the ECQ Engineer:
  • $56-62/hr
