Job Description:

What we’re looking for:
  • A goal-oriented, high performer who strives to go above and beyond expectations.
  • Bachelor’s degree and six or more years of marketing & communications work experience working within or closely with an internal communications team at a large organization.
  • Strong copywriting skills that can translate to all CSR volunteer communications (e-mails, web articles, social media etc). Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Someone who is incredibly detail oriented, works independently, is organized and has strong project management skills.
  • Someone with demonstrated experience collaborating with different teams cross functionally, manages multiple, competing priorities and overcomes challenges to turn around requests in the quickest way possible.
  • Someone who takes a proactive approach to all projects and is detail and solution oriented.

This role will support two strategic areas:
  • Volunteer Program Marketing & Communications
  • Oversee the strategy development and execution of unique and creative ways to recruit, highlight and promote volunteerism to Client employees.
  • Drive ongoing tracking of volunteer goals in weekly meetings with CSR marketing teams and oversee marketing budget to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee creative agency/CSR partners on execution & approval of monthly Volunteerism communications calendar in partnership with stakeholders (employee comms, CSR & brand marketing comms teams). Volunteerism communications tools include: volunteerism newsletter, Leader Toolkits, global emails and amplification across Client social channels (Slack, Inside Client).
  • Drive third party editorial team strategy and manage third party agencies to deliver stories of volunteer impact, highlighting outstanding Client volunteers and non-profit partners. Ensure stories are approved by all stakeholders, published in a timely manner and amplified in the proper channels.
  • Drive third party PR agency thought leadership strategy aimed to bring the Client volunteer program message external and support that Client is a good corporate citizen.
  • Drive third party data & analytics agency to measure communication tactics, provide actionable recommendations, and oversee delivery of all employee experience surveying and focus grouping of Client employees.

Team Building & Large Scale Volunteer Event Management:
  • Help to support CSR manager who runs the day to day administration and event execution of team volunteer events aimed at achieving 120,000 volunteer hours in 2020 across key audiences at Client. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Oversee events to engage Client retail store, customer service and network technician teams (60K Client employees across these three groups).
  • Support the strategy and implementation of volunteer events for key executive leadership meetings throughout the year (C-Suite and SVP level events).
