- The Client's R&D Team is seeking a very seasoned Executive level Integration Program Lead to take the lead on and run the program/project management piece for the integration from an exciting new business deal!
- The role will be responsible for clearly defining and appropriately tracking the successful delivery of all prioritized projects.
- The individual will work closely to identify, coordinate, track, and report status progress for all active and planned portfolio initiatives.
- This also includes leading weekly/biweekly status reporting sessions, producing status reporting templates at project and rollup levels, financial status tracking, internal cross-departmental communication and broader plan alignment, presentation building and support, etc.
- The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and instituting overall project plan timelines, milestone tracking and a reporting framework / template, keeping plans current, tracking and escalating delays.
- The person will also plan and organize Integration Committees and Sub-Teams as needed.
- Align internal resources and third parties/vendors as needed for the flawless execution of projects.
- Synthesizing R&D requirements with overall integration plans of Business Development.
- Proven success from prior project management. (including meeting or exceeding deadlines, budgeting, resource management, etc.)
- Ensure that all deliverables are on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Drive the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation from R&D functional leaders.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to R&D Executive management, as needed.
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Ensures all relevant documentation and project artifacts are maintained in central location. (e.g., team space)
- 12-15 years of experience with Program/Project management in the Healthcare sector and/or R&D.
- Has lead Integration management – Liaising across Business Development and other cross functional areas to drive integration with new/acquired company - Minimal guidance required – Can exhibit what a good integration looks like.
- Strong understanding of R&D functional areas and activities.
- Strong experience with integrating a new company.
- Strong leadership skills and presence & relationship management skills.
- MBA/MS with Healthcare/Pharma experience.
- PhD/MD – Nice to have
- Autonomous, self-starter, motivated and highly focused!
- Will have had deep experience performing complex business deal integrations.
- Ability to understand stakeholder alignment and how to bring a new program into a current program.
- Also understands Alliance management - Process, governance, data and operation.
- Ability to understand life science industry/scientific acumen.
- Strategy - Pulling a lot of information from others together; strategize outcome.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability/demonstrated history to productively work simultaneously with multiple projects, teams (including marketing, IT, design, med/legal, research, and various external vendors/agencies) and larger scale projects.
- Ability to 'connect the dots,' based on experience with project progression to share learnings across the organization to optimize all projects.
