Job Description:

Responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team as they deliver technology solutions. Develops solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices. Ensures the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes. They have built significant experience through multiple software implementations and has developed both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Designs and develops and is accountable for feature delivery. Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality. Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt. Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level. Acts as a liaison for production activities/issues. Works with Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria. Guides the team on work breakdown and execution. Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team. Guides team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices). Identifies skill and role gaps, and works with Technology Manager to address them. Works with Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans where required. Individual contributor.

This role ensures the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes. They have built significant experience through multiple software implementations and has developed both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. A Feature Lead is an individual contributor to a team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Key contributor to development initiatives that require Pega technical expertise. Pega Workflow, Case Management, Integration experience needed
  • Participate in creating project road maps
  • Provide technical leadership to project team for PEGA 8.x projects
  • Derive and enforce best practices in PEGA architecture, design, and coding
  • Collaborate with the team to coordinate delivery of software application
  • Communicate with technical partners and come up with solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners and customer as a go to person
  • Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintain and tests software applications that support business units
  • Provide innovative solutions to problems and drive the design/development of components
  • Effectively conveys message in both written and verbal development discussions

Required Skills:
  • CLSA/CSSA with 7+ years of Pega hand on experience in delivery of large enterprise complex solutions
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent working experience
  • Must have strong communication skills to discuss and understand various business processes
  • Pega 8.x, Pega PRPC guardrails and Sound understanding of all Pega PRPC features
  • Deep understanding of Enterprise class structure, complex workflows and design patterns
  • Strong experience in Case management, data modeling, system integration, agents, user experience design, security, background processing, performance, deployment, and testing
  • Strong in UX/UI design expertise and UI guardrails
  • In-depth knowledge of Pega upgrades, server configurations, and troubleshooting
  • Must have exposure to Agile development and its delivery model
  • Should be able to provide estimates/sizing for high level requirements
  • Database modeling, SQL query optimization
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle SQL DDL and DML
  • A proven desire to learn new technologies and translate them into working software
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Pega's REST APIs

Desired Skills:
  • 1 - 3 years of hands on experience as a Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA)
  • 5+ years of hands on experience as a Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) working on multi-tier web application
  • Banking domain Pega experience
  • Strong understanding of key business elements
  • Strong Data analysis skills
  • Experience using JIRA tools
