Fixed Asset Accountant

Description A client based in Parsippany, NJ is currently seeking a Fixed Assets Accountant on a contract to full-time basis. The Fixed Assets Accountant will be directly involved with the full scope of managing fixed assets, including preparing/posting journal entries, reconciling PP& E account balances, capitalizing assets, managing depreciation schedules, and handling monthly close processes. Additional responsibilities may include testing relevant internal controls and preparing monthly financial reports. The ideal Fixed Assets Accountant will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working on fixed assets, analyzing relevant balance sheet accounts, and will be proficient with Oracle Fusion. Must demonstrate competence in Depreciation Calculations and Depreciation Schedule. Familiarity with Fixed Asset Depreciation and Fixed Assets is required. Experience with Account Reconciliation is essential. Knowledge of Fixed Asset Ledger operations is a must. The ability to effectively manage and maintain accurate records of company's fixed assets. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is needed. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work is important. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
