Job Title: Senior Funding Specialist

Department: Finance and Administration

Location: Hackensack, NJ area (on site 3 days per week)

Reports To: Director of Accounting and Finance

POSITION INFORMATION

Job Summary: you will collaborate with your Credit peers to ensure our loans are funded efficiently and securely on a daily basis. You will also have the opportunity to represent the company externally, specifically by liaising with dealers on a daily basis. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our funding processes by performing QC on loan documentation, developing metrics and reporting for the Director of Finance and Accounting, and taking ownership of other initiatives to continue improving our funding system and process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a pipeline of open contracts pending funding
  • Confidentiality manage, analyze, and process customers' documentation, ensuring accuracy of customer data, and adherence to clients policies
  • Review and verify sensitive materials such as a driver s license, auto insurance, and vehicle titles
  • Organize customer information in a customer s file for efficient processing through the funnel
  • Follow up with dealers to require additional documentation or manage funding issues
  • Own consistent follow ups on pending transactions
  • Provide exceptional service to our dealers
  • Quality assure the structure and configuration of the deal and review the accuracy of the incentive (dealer reserve)
  • Ensure compliance on disbursements
  • Overview the e-contracting process from funding side and ability to promote change and process improvements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Training Requirement:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • College degree preferred

Experience

  • Familiarity with consumer lending practices
  • At least 3 years experience in customer facing role
  • 3+ years of title/mortgage or financial company experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Financial acumen
  • Understanding of the importance of consistency, accuracy, and detail orientation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism via phone and email.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess the ability to change priorities quickly as time-sensitive needs arise. Able to adapt to a fluctuating workflow, particularly during periods of high inventory volume.
  • Quick and accurate using internal online tools experience in developing and improving online tools and processes
