Alternative Investments business comprises Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate funds offering to Citi Private Bank and Consumer Wealth Management clients.Job Purpose:The Global Head of Alternative Investments Operations will be responsible for leading operations for Alternatives - a critical and growing division of the Citi Global Wealth Investments (CGWI) business. The incumbent will partner closely with the Alternatives Business leadership team, Banking team, Regional Investments COOs and O&T colleagues to deliver client focused solutions and enhancing the operational support model for Alternatives to position the business for aggressive growth and segment expansion. The incumbent will be reporting into Global Head of Wealth Investments Operations and is responsible to manage and provide oversight for the Alternative Investment Operations teams and functions that support the creation and distribution of Alternative Investment Products to Wealth clients globally. This is a senior leadership position responsible for strategy and execution of global alternatives business mandate in driving superior operational support and client service with a strong focus on risk and controls. Responsible for ensuring that all processing is performed according to the standards set forth by the Bank in addition to government and industry regulations. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of alternative investment products to clients. The regional operational leads for Alternatives Investments Operations will have a matrix reporting line into the Global Head of Alternatives Investments Operations.Responsibilities:Determine and implement the strategic approach for the global function for Citi Global Wealth Alternatives’ clients.

Lead a 80 person service driven, control minded global team including core operations, accounting and administration functions that delivers measurable competitive advantage in support of Alternative Investments.

Design an industry leading alternative investment Operations team and capabilities in alignment with the business objectives

Partner with Business stakeholders to understand business needs and create roadmap to current and future client demand is met and exceeded.

Review and analysis of end to end processes and demonstrable ability to deploy industry best practices to meet business needs.

Lead global teams across geographies promoting a culture of continuous improvement and cultivating a robust service and control environment.

Responsible for effectively identifying and managing the business risk and ensuring that the team’s performance standards are met

Focus on metrics and KPIs to measure team performance, and deliver improvements

Manage multiple high priority projects, support internal and external corporate clients, and oversee results, budget, planning and policy/ procedure formulation

Develop and implement new approaches that solve complex issues affecting the business and partnership with other business units to facilitate their success

Advocate for mobility, diversity, training, compliance, and risk & control initiatives

Develop partnerships with Technology, Compliance Risk, Finance, HR and key internal stakeholders

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:15+ years of relevant experience in Investments and/or Alternatives Investments products or operations.

Advanced level experience in a related global role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management preferred

Experience in management with Banking and Financial Institutions preferred

In-depth understanding of Alternatives Operations functions on an end to end basis including accounting and administration.

Demonstrated success dealing with senior and executive management

Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment

Effective project management and negotiation skills including managing large vendor relationships who provide direct services to operations.

Consistently demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master’s degree preferred. Accounting certification is an added advantage.
