We are looking for an Helpdesk Support Specialist in East Brunswick, NJ for 3 month contract to hire position.

Job Description:

Position: Helpdesk Support Specialist (Hybrid)

Duration: 3 months contract to hire

Location: East Brunswick, NJ

Client: Direct Client

Note: Candidates need to be legally eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship assistance now or anytime in the future.

The IT Support Specialist will:
  • Function with autonomy, urgency, and professionalism within the organization’s guidelines
  • Be highly self-motivated and customer-centric
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate good organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Be an advocate for all IT policies and protocols to the organization
  • Provide support to end users for Mac, Windows, IOS and Android, including applications, system, access, and hardware issues
  • Identify, research, and resolve basic technical problems
  • Support users at multiple sites by phone, email or in person
  • Document, track, and monitor cases using FreshService and other tools
  • Triage and prioritize issues accordingly
  • Coordinate well with other members of their team, other IT teams, departments, and vendors
  • Handle user on-boarding and off-boarding, including account creations and account deactivations, commissioning and decommissioning of equipment
  • Provide support to end users on hardware, software applications, and systems such as Office 365, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, InFor, Centah, AX, and more
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, and usability of all MACs, PCs, iPads, iPhones, VOIP Phones, Android scanners, printers, peripherals, and software
  • Rare weekend projects, after hours work, or on-call shifts may be needed
  • Create and validate documentation for new or existing processes

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience with End user Provisioning and Deprovisioning
  • Experience with Ticketing systems such as FreshService, Jira, Zendesk, or other ITSM tools
  • Experience with MDM/EMM solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft: Windows 10, Office 365, Azure, and Active Directory
  • Experience with Apple: iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS
  • Experience with imaging and provisioning devices
  • Experience with Android, Industrial Handheld Scanners and Datamax printers
  • Experience with basic network troubleshooting and managed printing
  • Experience in IT for at least 2 years
  • Relevant Education: Associates Degree, Technical Degree, Certification training (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.) or equivalent training
