A Desktop Engineer will work closely application packaging, deployment, and engineering teams as well as business users. Responsibilities include determining, executing, and maintaining best practices for optimal user experience related to desktop, laptop, and virtual desktop management.A Desktop Engineer has the responsibility services, and of understanding the desktop environment via data analysis, monitoring of end users leveraging MECM/SCCM, Citrix/XenApp, Nexthink, as well as other management and monitoring applications. This role will play a critical and strategic role in TIAA’s user experience and technology improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Technical knowledge and experience engineering Microsoft Windows desktop/server environments leveraging tools and concepts including SCCM/MECM, Citrix, Active Directory, Intune, and Group Policy.

Perform analysis on new and existing processes, documentation, and automation impacts and risks

Create design documentation and standard operating procedures, along with technical designs for complex business problems.

Support optimal end user functionality through proactive issue discovery and resolution implementation

Troubleshoot hardware and application configurations related to workstation performance and end user experience.

Assist management in planning and implementing automation with the objective of improving the ease of doing business.

Develop and implement engineering standards and processes.

Troubleshoot hardware and application configurations as it relates to workstation performance and end user experience and create improvement solutions.

Manage service escalation to resolution and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Provides technical guidance, oversight, and mentoring to team members.

Career Level6ICBase Pay Range: $72,400/yr. - $120,700/yr.Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
