• Will be adept at reviewing APIs, figuring out how to get data into and out of them, and how we can bring our various data sources together to create additional value for the business.
• Will have experience dealing with a wide variety of data sources ranging from internal traditional databases to external, cloud-based vendor-managed systems.
• Will have the ability to read, analyze and digest what a business wants to accomplish with its data, and design the best possible ETL / ELT process around those goals.
• Lastly, the ETL Specialist will also challenge current data access strategies within the company and look to make things better via innovative new technologies, new platforms and new ways of working.
• Understand and document our applications APIs and data
• Create solutions to solve business problems by opening up and combining data using a variety of ETL/ELT principles, data lake technologies and vendor platforms
• Develop extensive knowledge on data management within water and waste water operations, use that knowledge to deliver solutions to the business to improve operations

• BA/BS or other equivalent degree
• SQL
• ETL (BladeBridge is preferred, but not required)
• Seasoned-Professional 7 years+ Required

• Extract, Transform, and Load stage of data processing by developing and managing the corresponding infrastructure (ETL and/or ELT)
• Experience with industry standard ETL tools.
• Review and document existing data sources
• Serve as SME in recommending methods and techniques for data access
• Contribute to application integration road maps
• Familiar with Mulesoft AnyPoint or similar API management platforms
• Familiar with data warehouse / mart / lake architectures including Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Data Lake, etc
• Strong SQL skills
• ETL process management & testing, including design testing to ensure solution works well
• Experienced in obtaining raw data, reviewing its format, deciding how it should it be ingested, and then stored somewhere
• Managing data analysis of internal and external system API(s)
• Comfortable with scripting languages and protocols such as SOAP and REST
• Experience with Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) for data ingestion using APIs
• Experience working with APIs.
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in writing technical requirements and test specifications
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products.
• Ability to manage a range of activities in a busy and fast-changing operating environment.
