Our client, a major bank in Jersey City, NJ, is looking for talented
IT Project Manager / Risk Analyst Consultant with strong MS Excel skills.Hybrid commute 2/3 days from home/office.Consulting position, initial term is 3+ months with possible extensions and option to hire.(Hourly rate will be identified DOE) IT Project Manager / Risk Analyst IT Project Manager will be responsible for project managing various IT projects to identify project risks and how these risks will be mitigated by the project team. Additionally, as a Project Manager, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance to the business requirements; write process; procedure; run book; FAQ, etc. documents; test plan/test scripts; ad-hoc reporting to management, etc. Looking for a hands-on Project Manager (not one that only manages to timeline/budget). Expert knowledge and understanding of IT SDLC is required and have a minimal of 5-year experience in IT software development in the financial industry (aka banking institution or investment bank).Must have working knowledge of operational bank processes and correlate them with impact should an operational process fail Responsibilities: • Ensure project and task deliverable dates are met on time• Identify risks and critical paths on the project; track them and facilitate with the team to mitigate these risks• Perform business analysis to document business requirements• Write test scripts and perform QA testing• Provide root cause analysis, along with conclusion on production issues• Prepare documentation on processes such as, but not limited to manuals, flow charts, FAQ, run book• Advance Excel user• Provide appropriate information share and updates with senior management and other key stakeholders• Schedule meetings with stakeholders, prepare agendas, distribute post meeting minutes and follow up on action items Skills:• Minimum of 5 years track record of delivery of major IT finance initiatives at large and complex financial institutions, hands-on Project Manager• Working in Banking or Investment Banking industry; knowledge in banking products and their operational workflows (i.e. how banking products are processed)• Solid understanding of project life cycle (SDLC)• Advanced user of Excel• Self-starter is necessary, able to work with limited instructions.• Strong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skills• One year experience performing QA testing• Knowledgeable in using Archer, SeviceNow, VISIO, PowerPoint, Word• Able to think ‘out of the box’ and work efficiently• Completes administrative tasks on a timely basis- PMP Certification is a plus
